Description
Problem
In the issue view of an Epic type when selecting Create Issue in Epic the InLine issue create does not respect the issue hierarchy.
Expected result:
Epic children should be Story types;
Actual result:
There is no rhyme or reason behind Jira selection of the issue type for InLine issue creation within Epic issue types;
If Advanced Roadmaps is setup the default issue type that shows up is Initiative, which as per the hierarchy should be above an Epic instead.
Things observed:
- After changing the issue type to the desired one the plus icon adds a new line with the previously used type;
- If the issue page is refreshed it reverts back to a random issue type as opposed to the last used one.
- In the following example we can see it is defaulting to Task whereas we are expecting Story:
- If there is an Initiative custom issue type configured due to Advanced Roadmaps setup, then the within Epic view defaults to this issue type as opposed to Story.
- Shows all Issue Types including Issue Types above the Epic in the Issue Hierarchy. Those issue types are not child issues of the Epic.
Workaround:
When the issue type selector is open, type the name of the desired issue type to filter the list of issue types.
