Renderer settings don't affect the new Jira issue view, which uses markdown for rich text fields.

Would be nice to be able to use the default text renderer.

It's 2022 and I still have to use curly braces to do code blocks in the "Create issue" view but can use WYSIWYG markdown after I click "Create". This is silly and is extra cognitive load that I don't want. Everyone knows markdown. Nobody expects `{{}}` or `

`. (Is there even a name for that markdown-adjacent "language"?)

The text editor should be consistent in Jira.
Currently there are 2 different text editors, one for comments, and one for everything else.

This causes confusion when using Jira. Especially when going to the next line.
For the comments section you have to press "shift" + "return" to go to the next line.
For the other sections you just press "return"

If you press return on the comments section it skips two lines
