Can not create subtasks from Epic when there is validator on New Issue View.

    Description

      Issue Summary

      When creating a ticket under EPIC with validators on New Issue View, Jira shows a connection error message from the ticket. Unable to create Task under Epic, limited to creating subtasks directly under Epic which eliminates a third level. Also cannot see which Epic a task belongs to on the new issue view.

      Steps to Reproduce

      • From the new issue view select 'Create issue in epic' button or "+" button above the issues.
      • The connection error "We couldn't create the child issue" shows from the ticket and couldn't create a subtask.

      Expected Results

      Subtasks created successfully on the new issue view.

      Actual Results

      The connection error shows up from the ticket.

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
