Issue Summary
When adding a User custom field value to grant the Create Issue permission, the user cannot create sub-tasks in the new issue view. Jira displays the following error message:
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a user picker custom field and add it to the create/edit/view screen of a software/SD project.
- Grant the Create Issue permission to a User custom field value and choose the field created.
- Go to an issue and pick a user using the field created (the user must not have this permission via a group/project role)
- Ask the user to try to create a sub-task using the new issue view.
Expected Results
The user should be able to create the sub-task.
Actual Results
Jira displays the following error message and doesn't create the sub-task:
We couldn't create the sub-task Check your connection, then give it another try
Workaround
Use the old issue view to create sub-tasks
OR
add this user to a group/project role that has the create issue permission in the project
