Issue Summary
After deleting and reactivating Jira on a cloud site old activity remains from the previous Confluence. It's not getting cleared out as expected. Clicking on any of the links results in errors.
Environment
- Cloud
Steps to Reproduce
- Use a cloud instance with Jira and Confluence (I have JSW, JSD & Core)
- Log into Jira - you're taken through onboarding to create a project. I created 'Test' project.
- Go to site admin Billing > Manage subscriptions
- Delete Jira (select 3 dots and type DELETE, click Other then Delete)
- Wait 5 minutes
- Go to site admin Discover applications
- For Jira, click Reactivate, click Start trial
- Close the dialog, don't go to Jira yet
- Wait 5 minutes
- Go to Jira
- The onboarding screens appear you create a new project
- On the "your work" tab you see previous issues and projects that don't exist anymore.
- If you click in the issues or projects, it says "We couldn't connect to that issue"
Expected Results
I expected Jira to be cleaned out and like a new instance with no data.
Actual Results
There is cached information from the previous installation stored somewhere, which can lead to some pretty nasty results (data leakage depending on how you are using the instance).
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
Note
Even after running a blank Jira backup to wipe everything the Your Work page loads events from past.
