Summary
Currently, any project if moved to trash would notify all trusted users and site admins saying "XXX has moved the project to Trash".
The same notification is also sent to users who have the "Administer Projects" (company-managed) project permission on the deleted project, even if they don't have the "Administer Jira" global permission.
Suggestion
Provide the ability to configure who receives such notification, and even disable it if desirable.
Workaround
Currently, disabling outgoing mail at https://<SITE>.atlassian.net/secure/admin/OutgoingMailServers.jspa will prevent the notifications from being sent. Since that will also affect issue notifications in all projects, is is recommended to perform such actions outside peak work time.
