Hi everyone,
We truly appreciate you taking the time to open up about the challenges you’re facing with Memory consumption by Jira in Web browsers. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. After a thorough review by the team, we have carefully considered your input. However, at this time, we are unable to commit to actively investigating this matter. Please know that the ideal solution to this is based on various performance improvements that we are working on.
Rest assured, we will keep this ticket's status as "Gathering Interest" to keep learning from all of you about the pain points and challenges related to this suggestion. We will continue to revisit this ticket as part of our ongoing product planning process.
In the meantime, if you need to view multiple issues quickly, you can opt to use the NIN (New Issue Navigator) or List View.
We understand that this may not be the update you were hoping for, and we genuinely appreciate your understanding.

Product Manager, Jira Issue
Description
Checking Jira we could verify that when opening different tabs in the browser, it is consuming about 200-300MB of memory
Comparing the new issue view with the old issue view we were able to confirm that the new view is using just over 4x the memory that old issue view is (~600mb vs ~130mb).
We've performed some tests to validate this information and checked this directly using Firefox in my instance, and by opening some tabs we were able to verify that we had an increase of the memory consumption, as you can see on the image below:
This issue is also observed on Chrome & Edge browsers.
Suggestion for Improvement
This behavior may be a recurring issue when using multiple tabs with Jira openen. Would be great to be able to reduce the memory consumption in Jira.
