            * https://yourcompany.atlassian.net/gateway/api/gasv3/api/v1/batch * block

Which analytics URLs did you block, and how?

            Thank you!

I can still reproduce this bug with Firefox v133. Steps to reproduce - just load a page/ticket in Jira and start typing in the description field. There's a tremendous lag before any characters show up. Additionally, Firefox's memory consumption goes on increasing only if a Jira cloud page is loaded.

Opening a page in Edge doesn't show this behaviour.

cbd8b26159db the problem is not the load time, is the constant lag that exists in all widgets in general, being hell scrolling on a simple kanban board with a few tickets

            Hi 7fb29b58b3e4 ,

I'm an engineer from the Confluence Integrations team, and I wanted to share that I tested it across Firefox versions 131.0, 132 (latest), and 114.0.2 (the oldest version I could get). In all these versions, Project Pages loads consistently without any lag.

Additionally, I ran a quick browser performance profile and compared it with Google Chrome, and I’m seeing similar load times (~28s) for typical interactions on the Project pages, as shown in this attached video: Screen Recording 2024-10-30 at 1.58.47 PM.mov

            Chrome:

            Firefox (latest):

            Firefox (114.0.2):

To help us better assist you with this issue, could you please share the following info from your latest run?

            1. A screen recording highlighting the user experience while loading Project pages.
            2. HAR file capturing network calls when initially loading Project pages, and
            3. Any errors visible in the Browser Console tab when loading Project pages

These details could help us identify if there are any specific delays and pinpoint the components that may be slowing it down.

Thanks for your patience, and please let me know if there’s anything else!

            Best,
            Shrutha

I have started to notice improvements in regard to CPU and memory usage, not sure if this is due to a Firefox upgrade (I'm on 131 now) or due to some changes in Jira.

85453917d6ec - What firefox versions have you tested this on? I would recommend testing at least with a couple different versions to make sure people with slightly older browsers are also not affected. You can find older firefox releases in their archive: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

I would also like to hear from other people what their firefox versions are when they hit this issue. Sadly, I did not record what firefox version I was on when the issue was present and/or when the upgrade happened on my machine.

According to some online sources for browser stats, it might be worthwhile checking all the way back to Firefox 115: https://www.stetic.com/market-share/browser/

Yeah, how much effort was put into this "reproduction"?

You tell us to contact support, so you can wipe all individual internal cases under carpet and no one knows. THis is what happened to me many times - always cannot reproduce, so you close it and happy days - happy stats. Worst support I've ever experienced - ever. Cannot imagine we pay for this.

Jira is basically unusable on FF for me at the moment. It slows down to a point where I have to wait half a minute to see what I'm typing.

It must have been a more or less recent change, I didn't have any problems until about 2 months ago.

I have been using FF with Jira for many years without major issues.
