Inserting an attachment with accented characters on Safari does not render the file

      Summary

Trying to add the attachment name in Safari does not work. When you click on the "clip" icon and select the attachment name, there are foreign characters added to the attachment name that prevents JIRA from rendering the name. Therefore, the attachment is not visible on the issue for Service Desk customers, for example.

      Environment

      • Safari
      • JIRA Cloud

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Use Safari
      2. Attach an image on JIRA with a title including accented characters (e.g. é, ó, ç)
      3. Use the insert attachment option from your toolbar

      Expected Results

In Chrome and Firefox, attaching in this way does display the thumbnail.

      Actual Results

In Safari, the name is added but the attachment is not rendered. Converting the attachment name that is added by Safari to HEX we can see foreign characters being added, that are not present when using other browsers.

      Workaround

No known workaround. Changing the encoding format of Safari does not work.
