Summary

When we mention a user (by typing @user) in any issue comment field using the Jira app (iOS and Android) the tagged user does not get an email notification. However if we tag the same user using the Jira Browser version in the same issue comment, he/she receives an email notification

Replicated this internally as well as on customer's instance both for ios and android Jira app

Please Help With

Need help in fixing this issue i.e. irrespective of whether the user has been mentioned using the Jira app or Jira Browser they should receive an email notification of the tag.

This will create uniformity between the app and the browser version of Jira
