Summary

If you format a text (e.g. bold, code) in a bullet list line, numeric list line or alphabetical list line, and then add a sub-bullet list in the next line, Jira breaks the line for that text.

This affects the Description, and the Comment field.

Environment

Jira Cloud

Steps to Reproduce

1. Type *, then press space to start a bullet list;
2. Type some text in that same line;
3. Format part of it as bold (or even italic, code) -> press enter so it will go to a new line;
4. Press tab to turn the new line into a sub-bullet list -> type some text in that line;
5. Save.

Expected Results

The content will be saved as it was being displayed during edition (without breaking the lines).

Actual Results

Jira breaks the line before and after the formatted text.

Workaround

It does not happen in the old issue view.

In order to deactivate the new issue view:

• Profile icon -> Personal settings (or Profile if there is no such option);
• Turn off the Labs feature.
