Atlassian Update - 25 May 2020

      Hi everyone,

Work is currently in progress to improve the utility of the attachment cards in Jira. As part of these changes the uploaded date and time will be displayed. We expect these changes to be delivered to you in the next month.

Note that in addition to improved attachment cards we are also actively working on bringing a list view to Jira's new issue view. This will provide an alternative way for you to find your attachments and will also include the attachment upload date/time: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70146

      Kind regards,

      Atlassian

      Atlassian Update - 10 Dec 2019

      Hi Everyone,

I want to provide a quick update for this topic. this feature will be in progress soon, show timestamp on attachments, and it is being under consideration to be prioritised in the next couple of months. we will keep you posted with the updates. I know this has taken a while to build out, but rebuilding Jira issues is no small feat, so we very much appreciate your patience on this.

In the meantime, you can opt out of this new issue experience via your Personal Settings > Jira Labs section will have a 'new issue view' toggle to turn it on or off. We will not be disabling this opt-out option until we have rebuilt all the key features of the Jira issues experience you have come to know and love.

      Regards,

      Atlassian

When searching tickets through Issues and Filters, if a ticket has attachments, it shows the date and time that the ticket was attached.

On the new issue view, it only shows the attachment's name when we put the mouse over the attachment.

It would be great if the new issue view shows the same information as the old view.

[JRACLOUD-70096] Show timestamp on attachments when using the new issue view

            Hi everyone,

We are excited to announce that attachment card in Jira now displays the time and date when the attachment is uploaded. Keep an eye out for our new attachments list view, coming to the new issue view soon, which will further enhance the attachment experience.

            Kind regards,

            Matt

@Christine, of course, not - it's been open for only 2 years. I especially liked a year old response from Joe - "This is being looked at and should be prioritized soon".

So has this feature been rolled out?  We are using Jira Software Cloud and are just starting to include attachments. We really need this.

@jehan, is that the same new issue view used in Jira Software?

Eagerly waiting for this to be fixed. My team can't switch to the new view until this is fixed.

Attachment file support should also include use of MS Office and PDF formats as these are the most popular fixed and transaction document file formats globally.

Workaround is not to use the new issue view, by following this procedure it can be accomplished:

I am looking for the same functionality. Timestamp on the files attached.
