Hide specific users or group from a user picker field

      Some customers would like the ability to be able to hide or limit the number of users shown on a 'user picker' field when searching for users, to a certain project or group. For example, only be able to select users from the current project on a 'user picker' field (either system fields, such as "Assignee" or custom fields), or select users from only a specific group.

            I believe this issue is a duplicate of ID-8128 – Limit User Picker to members of certain groups/roles in System Fields in Jira Software and Jira Work Management which has more votes.

            I recommend that watchers of this issue vote on and watch the above issue. So that votes aren't split, I believe this ticket should be closed, but I will wait a week before taking any action in case anyone disagrees. Thank you!
