      Atlassian Update

Looking through this ticket and comments, it seems to mention the ability to link Parent issue that is not epic. After the release of the Parent field in Jan/Feb 2024, this field can be used to link such issues. More details here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-articles/Introducing-the-new-Parent-field-in-company-managed-projects/ba-p/2377758#M1320

This should be resloved by the Parent field release.

However, please feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions

+1, yes this would really help us in providing the direct link between Features and stories

+1 This feature will definitely help in mapping the direct parent child relationship between the stories and features, bugs and stories, tasks and features, etc as we have for EPICs and Features.

The Current Parent Child link is available only along with Advanced Roadmaps, but ideally should have this link irrespective of advance roadmaps.

+1 for this. We would like to use something like this as a way to "bucket" issues together, based on an initiative or goal, independent of epics. Because the issues may be attached to a larger epic with a longer term goal, whereas this type of link could represent a shorter-term or sprint related goal or initiative.

The field Epic Link is used to link a ticket (like US) to an Epic.

The Epic link is a better user friendly displaying than the implements link.

But is it possible to use this link with other type of ticket ? like an Epic to a Feature, a Feature to a Capability. It will be usefull in a SAFe organisation.
