Problem Definition
I have color blind moderate disability. I found this morning your new Jira sw version has all labels with a faded red/green color. I am unable to distinguish them. Please, keep in mind people with color disabilities when designing your interfaces. The previous one was just fine.
Thanks.
Workaround
As for priority icons, try the setting below:
- Go to https://EXAMPLE.atlassian.net/secure/admin/ViewPriorities.jspa
- Change the shape of the arrow icons to ones have a distinguishable shape as below:
- /images/icons/priorities/blocker.svg
- /images/icons/priorities/critical.svg
- /images/icons/priorities/major.svg
- /images/icons/priorities/minor.svg
- /images/icons/priorities/trivial.svg

I am development professional who has over 20 years work on accessibility. A very simple fix to this problem is to use differing shapes in tandem with different colors when indicating status. Many people have presented a sensible solution to this issue with a low complexity and short execution time. However, if you'd prefer something with a standard around it might I suggest ColoraADD developed by Professor Miguel Neiva of the University of Minho. The symbols below would be placed inside your common symbols as either black or white. As they correspond with a typical traffic light symbols should be understood quickly without extra training. There is licensing involved I believe, but it is highly popular and well accepted. by users. This issue affects between 5-10% of your users.
