    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

When a permission scheme is setup to archive projects, which has no permissions granted to it, the archived projects are still visible by Jira administrators on the secure/BrowseProjects.jspa page, whereas in the old Jira experience they were only visible by Jira administrators on the admin section of projects, secure/project/ViewProjects.jspa.

This suggestion request is to add the ability to hide these projects from the secure/BrowseProjects.jspa even from Jira administrators since these projects are already available at the administrative section, secure/project/ViewProjects.jspa.

I believe the current behaviour now meets the requirements of this feature request, though some of the URLs have changed:

            • Archived projects do not appear on the View all projects page: <your site name>.atlassian.net/jira/projects
            • Admins can view archived projects on <your site name>.atlassian.net/jira/settings/projects/archive

+1 - the Jira Suite is such a great package. Time for a simple way to mark projects as closed and make the suite that much better. Being able to remove completed projects from the 'All projects' list will be so awesome, improving the user experience especially for folks who are new to the platform. Adoption can only improve as a result

+1. In the absence of a simple archiving function for Cloud, the permissions workaround was the only other option to have a cleaned up projects page. We're an agency and I hate logging in as an admin and having to wade through a huge list of projects every time to get to the 3 projects that are currently active. Please change this, or add an archiving function like every other platform has.

+1 Would be nice to have these hidden by default with an option to show them when viewing the full project list.
