Description
Summary
Since the 28th of September JIRA sends the text-only emails as:
Content-type: multipart/alternative;
Instead of
Content-Type: text/plain;
This was working as expected before
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to https://<instance-name>.atlassian.net/secure/ViewProfile.jspa
- Under Preferences section, please set as below
- Email type: Text
- My changes: Notify me
- Create a new project or use an existing project
- Ensure the notification scheme of that project will send notification accordingly for Issue Created events
- Create a test issue
Expected Results
- You get a text-only email having Content-type set to: text/plain
Actual Results
You receive a multi-part message (Content type: multipart/alternative):

Notes
As a result of this, some email clients (e.g. Thunderbird) are not correctly rendering the links in JIRA notifications (that are not clickable anymore).
