Clicking on version in the 'Issues Calendar' is causing a permission error, even to users with full administration permission in JIRA and in the project, instead of showing the version. This is also happening to the 'JIRA Issue Calendar Macro' in Confluence pages.
It says:
Project Does Not Exist
The project or issue you are trying to view does not exist. Try browsing for projects.
If you think this message is wrong, please contact your JIRA administration.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a project
- Create a version in it with a release date near in the future (say, tomorrow)
- Create a Dashboard and an 'Issue Calendar' gadget with this configuration:
- Project or saved filter: Select the project
- Keep the default configuration for the rest
- A link to the version will be visible in the release date, click it
Expected behavior
- User is taken to a page showing the version
Actual behavior
- The error appear.
- The URL is strange:
https://instance.atlassian.net/browse/$%7Bversion.Project.getString(%22key%22)%7D/fixforversion/10000
This error is similar to this KB, though it happens even if the project pattern is the default.
Workaround
None so far (apart from navigating to the page manually)
