The 'Where is my field?' helper isn't working from the create issue screen

From the create issue pop-up screen, if you try to use the 'Where is my field?' helper, after one tries to select for any field, the follow error message appears:

The JIRA server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation.

Using Chrome's developer tools, we get an error 400 Bad Request. Clicking on the error on the developer tools, at the Preview tab, there's the following message:

Either 'issueKey', or 'projectKey' or 'projectId' parameter must be provided in the request
