    Description

Atlassian Status as of 11 January 2016

      Hi all,

This has been investigated and determined to be working as designed. This change was introduced in the 7.1-OD-03 release on the 5th of January as part of the work done in ID-63 so that users will by default be directed to applications they have access to.

The workarounds given below will allow a site administrator to access the same landing page as the previous JIRA version.

At this point we consider this issue resolved. If you have any questions, please contact Atlassian Support.

      Regards,

      Richard Cordova
      JIRA Site Reliability Engineer

      Summary

We've noticed some Cloud instances redirecting to User Management instead of JIRA. This happens to Site Administrators with no Access to JIRA.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Log in as a Site Administrator without Application Access to JIRA

      Expected Results

The user is redirected to JIRA

      Actual Results

User is redirected to User Management (https://instance.atlassian.net/admin) or Confluence, if the instance has it

      Notes

This is a different behavior from before, probably changed on the update on Jan/5/2016

      Workaround

      To access JIRA, go to:
      https://instance.atlassian.net/secure/Dashboard.jspa
or grant the affected user Application Access to JIRA Core, Software or Service Desk.
