Problem Definition

When the transition fails, the input value for issue linked field will get cleared. But fields such as Comment, Label and etc., the values are stored on the screen. For more information on this behaviour, please review this video recording: http://screencast.com/t/O3Lnx0yYM.
In the video, the Due Date is made to be required so that the transition will fail. As we can see from the video after the transition failed, the Linked Issue field got cleared but Cascading Field values and Comment Field value did not.

Suggested Solution

Maintain the linked issues value even the transition fails.
