Ability to configure SMTP server (JIRA Cloud)

Hi everyone, Thank you for taking the time to share your votes and comments for this feature request. We greatly appreciate the effort and dedication it takes to provide us with your thoughts and ideas. In the spirit of transparency, we wanted to share that unfortunately, the ability to configure SMTP server to send out Jira emails will not be prioritised in the near term. We understand that this may not be the answer you were hoping for, especially considering the security and compliance benefits that have been mentioned. However, our current roadmap is focused on addressing the highest priority issues based on customer feedback and areas with the broadest reach. We are currently committed to improving the Jira notifications experience by focusing on sending the right notifications [JRACLOUD-1369: Reduce Jira email chattiness] .  In the meantime, I will leave this ticket open to allow you to continue adding more context and feedback so that we can look to reprioritise this.
