As an administrator, I think it would be valuable to change the default permission scheme that a project defaults to upon creation. If a user forgets to change the scheme upon creation, this would allow for possible unwanted access into the project, causing security issues.
Workaround
When creating a new project, use the option to Share settings with an existing project in order to use the non-default schemes.
