Implement a "user in group" validator for the create issue transition

      It would be great to have an "user in group" validator for the create issue transition in JIRA. That would help our team to limit the creation of certain issues based on issue-type without using a 3rd party addon like Script Runner to do so.

      Workaround

      The Permission Validator may be an alternative for some use cases:

            For us it would be really helpful to restrict the creation of epics in certain projects to a group of user or project role. A validator function for the create issue transition is necessary and we were wondering why it's not implemented yet.

            Hi, is there any chance to push this feature into a Release?

            The premium support team dropped me into this one when assisting me on my original issue and it's upsetting to see it's a 6 years old ticket where I got kicked to.
