      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem definition

      Currently there is no way to know who invited a user. The follow-up events (user created, group membership etc) are all registered with JIRA as the author.

      Suggested solution

      Log the user invitation events on JIRA audit logs, to register who did this.
