Want to merge cells of table in JIRA comment

      I would like to merge the cells of the top row in JIRA comments/summary like this. This capture comes from Confluence.

      But JIRA text formatting notation doesn't support merging cells.

      Header 1 <====want to merge cells to cover both something 1 and something 2 !===>
      something 1 something 2 something 3

      So hope JIRA comment markup supports merging cells (colspan/rowspan in HTML table).
