      It would be very useful to have a JIRA notification count marker overlayed on the JIRA browser tab favicon.

      Many modern websites do this with a small red circle with a white notification count overlayed on the favicon.

      It lets me instantly know when I need to give attention to a web app in my browser. I would rather see a notification in my browser than having to enter my email.
