      Background of The Request

As of now, JIRA does not have the ability to read LDAP password policy and inform their registered users regarding the password policy in place in the LDAP server.

It would be great if JIRA has the ability to recognize the password policy set in the integrated LDAP server and use that information to inform/warn their users.

      For example:

When a user password almost expired, JIRA could inform the customer and ask them to change their password trough the correct procedure.

Another example, is when JIRA has the ability to write into LDAP server, it could specifically inform the users if the password set by them is incorrect based on the password policy in place.
