Atlassian JIRA v6.1-OD-06
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
It seems that some dates/times are displayed relative to the current time rather than as a fixed date/time.
It would be better if the actual date and time were displayed so that one doesn't have to calculate the actual date of a comment or other date. For instance if someone wants to make reference to a prior comment made, if they mentioned "Please refer to my comment dated Last Friday 8:13 AM" it will become difficult to figure out once the date shows as the actual date after a month or whenever it ages out beyond the period to display as a relative date.
When I have issued a commitment date of when work will be done, I want to see the actual date. I don't want to see that it's due in 4 days.
If someone desires to see relative date/time format it should be considered more of a user preference that could be configured.
