JIRA Mail Queue to be stored in physical memory

Currently, we all know that the mail queue is stored in the memory itself which is also means is it only temporary. Whenever there is a urgent need for JIRA to restart or it crash out of sudden, basically all the pending mail queue will be lost as well. This sometimes would cause major event breakdown if customer have more than 1000 mail queue consist of all notifications pending to be send out.

Suggested Improvement

I am not very sure whether if this is possible or not however It would be best if there is option available for the user to switch between between memory or physical memory such as hard disk/database to store the mail queue in JIRA.
