This was caught in an automated bulk closure as it fit the criteria of an old suggestion with few votes/watchers. I agree this should be closed as a duplicate and I'll rectify this now.

Cannot see any problem with closing this issue.
There is another linked issue JRA-7266, which is more specific.
What I can tell this issue is closed with wrong resolution, it should be Duplicate, not Won't Do.
Won't Do made manys upset.

I'm sorry the closure of this issue has left you feeling the way you do. We're tracking a very similar issue to this at JRA-7266 for server customers, which won't be closed anytime soon and should stay on our radar for the future, even if it is not being implemented immediately.

Although this exists, I know your comment in particular was about the idea that JIRA Cloud users are not being listened to on JAC and that some features may be released to only Server and not Cloud customers. From my perspective, I wanted to let you know that this isn't the case and we don't only use JAC and it's voting to determine what feature to put on the roadmap. Cloud is always a significant theme of our consideration when establishing what to prioritise.

This is really a shame, I have the feeling we cloud-users have to compete for features with on-premise jira users.
This way, we won't ever get any essential feature because on-premise users of course don't care about unavailability on the cloud-platform...
