Resolution: Won't Do
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
The data of a lot of development projects gets stored at a single POI (Point of interest) after they are completed. If someone has a question after some years, e.g. if a particular bug already showed up during development, he/she can search for that in the stored project documentation and doesn't has to look for it in a lot of different places. Now JIRA bugs are still difficult to archive if you don't want to depend on a JIRA installation in future.
Therefore it would be nice to have the possibility to export a whole JIRA project with all issues, comments and attachments. Exporting format should be HTML, so that it could be viewed offline and the content keeps easily accessible, especially attachments.
The Word export that already can be used to export a lot of issue data only shows the names of the attachments. Maybe the attachments could be integrated into that export, that also would help for long term storage.
