      Issue Summary

      Setting resolution field as an edit issue action does not set the resolved date of issue

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create an automation rule with 2 actions. An Edit issue fields action to set Resolution field, and a Transition Issue action to resolve or close
      2. Trigger the automation rule for the issue

      Expected Results

      Issue is transitioned and Resolution and Resolved date is set successfully

      Actual Results

      Issue is transitioned and resolution is set, but not resolved date

      Workaround

      • Set resolution field in the Transition Issue action instead of in the Edit issue fields action

        or
      • Set resolution field with a Update Issue field post-function in your transition, and skip Resolution in the Edit issue fields action entirely.
