      Issue

The automation module that comes out-of-the-box in Jira Service Management (JSM) projects has an action that allows request to be automatically approved or declined based on some condition, as explained in Auto-approve requests.

An example of automation rule that can be configured using the JSM automation feature is illustrated in the screenshot below:

When using instead the automation module from the add-on Automation from Jira, it is unfortunately possible to auto-approve requests. When configuring an automation rule that will automatically transition a request from the status "Waiting for Approval" using the "Approved" transition, this rule will fail with the following error:

No matching transitions could be found for issues (with current status):

      Suggestion

Add a new action to Automation for Jira to allow requests to be automatically approved or declined.

[JIRAAUTOSERVER-372] Add the ability to automatically approve or decline requests using a rule from Automation for Jira

We need this auto-approval feature to be moved to Automation for Jira since it offers a lot more configuration options: Our specific use case would be to auto-decline issues after 10 days if no proper approval has been made and it's impossible to configure that with Legacy automation alone.

This is crazy, that in Legacy automation you can, but in new automation rules there is no way!
