Issue Summary
When a dependency contains a deactivated user in its "Notify" list, updates made to the dependency (such as changing the "Needed By" date) are successfully saved to the database, but the corresponding Audit Log entry is not created. This occurs because the save process fails during the notification validation phase—which happens after the record is updated but before the audit record is inserted—causing a "silent" update.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a dependency and add a specific user to the Notify list.
- Deactivate the user account of the person added to the Notify list.
- Open the dependency slide-out and change a field (e.g., change the Needed By date).
- Save the dependency.
- Check the Audit Log for the dependency.
Expected Results
The Audit Log should reflect the change made to the dependency fields.
Actual Results
The UI reflects the new value, but the Audit Log does not contain any record of the change.
Workaround
Identify and manually remove any deactivated users from the Notify list of the affected dependency. Once the deactivated user is removed, subsequent saves will be correctly recorded in the Audit Log.
