Issue Summary
New Roadmap - Issue with retrieving process steps when using the Process Steps filter for Epics & Features
On the new Roadmaps on the portfolio view, for the epic or feature roadmap page, when adding a filter “process step”, then no value appears with an error message, whereas there are process steps mapped correctly to the portfolio. The error shown is below:
- “Failed to retrieve the dropdown options for Process Steps”
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Teams top menu > Portfolio > More Items > Process Flows
- Ensure there are Process Flows defined for Jira Align Epic, and Feature levels
- Ensure the Process Flows slide out > Process Steps have process steps configured
- Ensure that there are Epic and Features associated with their respective process step
- Now, navigate to Teams top menu > select the relevant Portfolio > New Roadmaps> Select Features or Epics from the dropdown (I also tested with Theme as well and saw the same behavior)
- Use the ‘Add a Filter’ to add ‘process steps’
- Notice it shows 'No value'
- Click on the search field to search, and notice the red error that appears at the bottom saying:

- “Failed to retrieve the dropdown options for Process Steps”
- I tried searching with both the Process step and the Process Flow name and saw the same error.
- Even after we click the search bar, we see the same error.
Expected Results
No error should be seen, and the filter to search for Process Step should work showing the list
Actual Results
An error is displayed, and it shows ‘No value’ search list.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
