Users have reported a significant gap in the New Roadmap experience compared to the Legacy Roadmap. Specifically, the ability to visualize unassigned backlog items alongside currently planned work is missing.

In the Legacy Roadmap, users could view their unassigned backlog within the same roadmap view. This was critical for effective prioritization and strategic planning. Without this visibility in the New Roadmap, teams and portfolio managers lack a holistic understanding of planned versus unplanned work. This makes it difficult to determine if they are working on the right initiatives at the right time or to see what scope is still waiting to be slotted into the roadmap.

Restoring this option would provide parity with the legacy experience, improve strategic decision-making, and better support product and portfolio planning workflows.

Enhancement Request:

• Restore Unassigned Backlog View: Provide an option or toggle within the New Roadmap to display items from the unassigned backlog in the same view as planned work.

• Holistic Visualization: Ensure the UI allows for a clear distinction between "Planned" (scheduled) and "Unplanned/Backlog" (unscheduled) items to facilitate drag-and-drop prioritization or slotting.

• Parity: Ensure the functionality matches the legacy roadmap’s ability to provide a complete view of all work (assigned and unassigned) for the selected Tier/Scope.
