Details:
- Today, the Platform > Program setting "Hide stand-alone features in backlog and status reports" controls whether stand‑alone features appear with portfolio epics in the Epic backlog and influences their visibility in certain status reports.
- In New Roadmaps, there is no similar option. When viewing by Theme or Epic, users can’t choose to see stand‑alone features and epics together under the same parent Theme or in the Epics view, even though Themes can be directly associated with both.
Requested behavior:
- When the New Roadmap’s primary page filter is set to Themes, provide an option (admin‑level and/or per‑user) to:
-
- Display both epics and stand‑alone features under each Theme in a single commingled list.
- When the primary filter is set to Epics, provide an option to:
-
- Display epics and stand‑alone features together, so that planning and communication views don’t artificially separate them.
Why this matters:
- Themes can directly parent both stand‑alone features and epics; customers want to see all Theme‑level investments together on a single roadmap.
- This is particularly important for executive / portfolio views, where the distinction between “epic with a parent initiative” vs “stand‑alone feature attached directly to a Theme” is less important than seeing all work under the Theme.
