Issue Summary
In the New Roadmap experience, when viewing items at the Portfolio Epic level, the roadmap does not display the Epic-level Points value (the estimate entered on the Epic Details tab for a given PI/Quarter).
Users can see other fields like Story Points (roll-up) and other standard/custom fields, but the Epic-level Points estimate is not available in the New Roadmap.
This creates confusion because Epic “Points per PI/Quarter” are required for portfolio-level planning and are visible/usable in the legacy roadmap experience, but not in the New Roadmap.
Desired Behavior
Add support in the New Roadmap to surface the Epic-level Points field values In the Estimate Points column when viewing Portfolio Epics, so users can see the PI/Quarter estimate directly in the roadmap grid.
Why this matters / Business Impact
Without the Epic-level Points field visible in the New Roadmap:
- Portfolio planning and estimate comparisons are harder to perform directly in the roadmap view
- Users must rely on the legacy roadmap experience or open each Epic details panel to view Points
Notes / Clarification
- For Epics, Points represent the PI/Quarter estimate entered on the Epic Details tab
- Story Points is a roll-up of story points from stories associated with features under the Epic within that PI
- Both are valuable, but they represent different concepts and should be available in the roadmap
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Roadmaps → New Roadmap
- Set the item type/view to Portfolio Epics
- Open Columns/column selection
- Add Estimate Points column
- Observe that Epic-level Points value is not displaying in the Estimate Points column (the same behavior is also seen with Capability)
Expected Results
Epic-level Points (PI/Quarter estimate) value should be displayed in the Estimate Points column when viewing Portfolio Epics in the New Roadmap, and display the stored Points value.
Actual Results
Epic-level Points are not displayed in the New Roadmap at the Portfolio Epic level, preventing visibility of PI/Quarter estimates within the roadmap view.
Workaround
Use the legacy roadmap experience (where Points are visible/usable), or open each Epic’s details panel to view the PI/Quarter Points estimate.
