Viewing Framework Maps at Portfolio level results in 403 Forbidden Error for images

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When users attempt to view Framework Maps at the Portfolio level in Jira Align, images associated with the maps are not displayed. Instead, users encounter a 403 Forbidden error. This issue persists across different browsers, and after clearing cache/cookies or using private browsing. The problem does not occur when accessing Framework Maps at other levels (such as Program or Enterprise).

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Attempt to access the Framework Maps in the Jira Align instance as the affected user.
      2. Observe the 403 Forbidden error in the HAR/network logs.

      Expected Results

Images in Framework Maps should display correctly for all users, regardless of the navigation level (Portfolio, Program, or Enterprise).

      Actual Results

      • When accessing Framework Maps at the Portfolio level, images fail to load and a 403 Forbidden error is returned.
      • The browser’s network log shows requests such as:
        Request URL: https://atlas-mindef.jiraalign.com/image/interactiveimage-/5/5f0f5e5f33945135b874349cfbed4fb9
        Status Code: 403 Forbidden

      • The server response includes:
        Server Error
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

      • The image URL generated lacks the level identifier, specifically for the "Portfolio" level, resulting in an invalid path and access denial.

      Workaround

      • Accessing Framework Maps from a different level (such as Program or Enterprise) allows images to display correctly.
      • There are no workarounds for affected users to view images at the Portfolio level.
