      Issue Summary

If a Roadmap (opened from a Portfolio Room) is already filtered by Program Increment (PI) , set in the side bar, and there are applied filters for Epic and Portfolio, with the roadmap itself set to Features by Capability, then the correct Items count will be shown at the start of the swimlane for a feature.

If a filter for a Release Vehicle (RV) is then added to the filters, the Items count in the swimlane is a total of all stories under the release vehicle and no longer shows the count of stories under the feature represented in the swimlane.

It should be noted that the Story Points total only ever shows the totals from stories under the feature - so the filter is applying correctly for the Story Points

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. In a Portfolio with Capabilities enabled, create an Epic with a child capability and make sure a PI exists that is linked to a Program under the same Portfolio
      2. Create an RV linked to the Program and Team under the same Portfolio and also associate the RV with the PI.
      3. Create a feature under the capability that is linked to the RV, Program and PI
      4. Create 2 stories under the feature that are linked to the team, have a sprint in the PI set, have different LOE points set and link both stories to the RV (created in Step 2)
      5. Create a 3rd story under the same team, that is not under the feature, does not have a sprint or RV associated with it, but does have a different LOE value set
      6. Open the Portfolio Room, set the PI on the side bar and choose Roadmaps (also in the side bar)
      7. Make sure that Filter by Capability is set in the roadmap screen
      8. Click Filter and create a filter configuration for the Epic (created in Step 1) and the Portfolio - then apply the filter
      9. The roadmap will refresh
      10. Expand the capability to view the Items count for the Feature, it will show a count of 2, as the feature only has 2 child stories (with the story points count next to it showing whatever the total LOE points for the two stories is)
      11. Click Filter and add an additional filter for the RV created in Step 2 - then apply the filter, the Items Count and Story Points will not have changed for the feature in question
      12. Remove the RV filter leaving just Epic and Portfolio filters and apply that change
      13. Go to the 3rd story and edit the details
      14. Set the RV in that story to match the one created in Step 2 but still leave the Feature unset and save the change
      15. Refresh the roadmap page and the correct count of 2 Items with the correct story points will be shown for the feature
      16. Apply the Release Vehicle Filter again
      17. The Items count for the feature will now incorrectly show as 3 items, where opening the details of the feature will show it only has 2 child stories (however the story points won't have changed to include the value set in the 3rd story) Note: There will also be a warning triangle against the item count, however this can be ignored as it is caused by a missing (or invalid) sprint in the 3rd story (only mentioned as the same symptom was seen by the reporting customer)
      18. If there are multiple features linked to the same capability and the same RV with stories linked to the same RV spread across the multiple features then a second symptom will also be seen - the swimlanes for all the affected features will show the same (incorrect) Items count

      Expected Results

The Items count should be based on a combination of the feature represented in the swimlane and the applied filters, a release vehicle filter should not cause the Items count to be based on only the release vehicle story count

      Actual Results

The Items count is based on the story count associated to the release vehicle set in the filter, the count of stories in the feature represented in the swimlane is ignored.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
