Summary:

Currently, when a work item is updated in Jira, the audit log in UI will show that the update was made by the 'External User'.

However, when accessing this information through the API or EI, the 'External User' information is lost as the customer can only retrieve the service account real ID and name, which is often a real JA user account making it impossible to distinguish when an update was made from Jira or from. JA

Please enable JA's backend to record the same information as the UI so the user can differentiate updates made by the service account and real users from external system such as EI or add the tblrequestsaudit.externaltooltype ** so the users can filter by its values
