During the troubleshooting of an issue we investigated that the Issue and Board timer in the connector started doing API calls to all projects in Jira, making the connector to appear to be hung, but it actually was taking longer to do the calls to a subset of projects that were not needed.

Connector should be able to detect any connection related errors and not to make additional calls to Jira (and) Not to attempt sync operations with Jira.
