Issue Summary

Integrating a Jira Project to Jira Align after it was removed from Jira Align integration creates duplicate work items.

Steps to Reproduce

• Integrate a Jira project to Jira Align
• Let the Sync happen
• Remove the Jira project from the JA integration.
• Re-add the Jira Project to JA Integration after a few days
• At the same time as re-adding the Jira Project, run a custom sync starting -3 days (that is, whenever project was deleted)
• Observe custom timer and issue timer syncing the same set of issues concurrently, creating potential for duplicates created in JA

Expected Results

Even if the Jira project is re-integrated to Jira Align, it should not create Duplicate WorkItems after the sync

Actual Results

Duplicate WorkItems are created in JiraAlign due to the custom timer and issue timer syncing the same set of issues concurrently

Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
