      Description:
      As the product manager, they seek the capability to filter dependencies by tags on the dependency screens within Jira Align. This feature will allow for more efficient management and a better understanding of the status, scope, and type of dependencies across our projects.

      Background:
      In release 11.7, Jira Align introduced the ability to add tags to dependencies. While this is a valuable enhancement, its full potential is not realized without the accompanying functionality to filter dependencies by these tags. Such filtering would significantly improve our ability to organize and prioritize tasks, particularly in complex projects with numerous dependencies.

      Enhancement:

      • Filtering by Tags:
        • Users should be able to filter dependencies by selecting one or more tags from the dependency screens.
        • The filtering interface must support multiple tag selections, allowing users to view dependencies that match any or all chosen tags.
        • The filtering functionality should be intuitive and easily accessible, enhancing user experience and efficiency in managing dependencies{}
      • Export Functionality:
        • If implementing tag-based filtering is not feasible, ensure that all fields, including tags, are available in the export functionality.
        • The export should provide a comprehensive list of dependencies along with their associated tags, enabling users to conduct external analysis and reporting effectively. This ensures that even without direct filtering, teams can still utilize tag information in their workflows.{}
      • The ability to filter by tags will significantly enhance the agility of teams in assessing the status and scope of dependencies, thus improving overall project management efficiency.
      • Teams that rely heavily on tags for categorizing and tracking various project aspects will find this feature particularly beneficial, as it aligns with their existing practices and enhances their capability to manage complex dependencies swiftly.
