At present, JA utilizes tasks to monitor, calculate, and display the progress of sprints and their associated stories. This system even automates the generation of tasks in JA whenever a user logs hours on a related Jira Story. However, some teams and instances prefer not to use tasks at all to manage their work.

To accommodate these teams and allow them to operate without the tasks functionality—while ensuring that those who wish to continue using it are not affected—we would like to propose the option to select, via the connector, whether the task synchronization/functionality will be enabled.
