Issue Summary
After setting the email workflow for Impediments, the instance does not trigger a notification email for the configured user roles.
Steps to Reproduce
Prerequisites
- Ensure the user who wants to receive email notifications has the Change Tracking Emails toggle switched on under Personal Settings.
- Verify "Send only password emails" is set to "No" under Administration > Email Settings
Configuration Steps
- Go to Admin > Settings > Email and enable "Workflow"
- Select "Impediments" from Workflow Type, select the Program Increment, and enable the toggle for the associated Team Role. (for example Developer). Save Changes.
- Create a new Story, and make sure to assign it to a Program, Program Increment (same PI selected in step 2), relevant Team (Team A), and a Sprint.
- Create a new Impediment (under this Story) and link it to that Story A
- Ensure that the user (who would like to receive the notifications) is a member of the Team (Team A) with the assigned Team Role that you configure in the workflow (for example Developer)
- Ensure that the user is a member of the Program (same program selected in step 3)
- Go to the Impediment you created and make any changes (ex. update the priority)
- Now, check the Admin > Logs > Email to verify that "Impediment Notification" is sent
Expected Results
The Jira Align instance is expected to trigger email notifications and send it to the configured user roles in the workflow.
Actual Results
The email notifications for Impediments are not triggered and sent by the Jira Align instance.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
