External Atlassian ID is not updated after Guard is enabled

      Issue Summary

      After enabling Guard for Jira Align SSO and have successfully logged in, the External ID for the user is not updating.

      This is reproducible on Data Center: NA

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Enable Atlassian Guard in SSO setting under Security tab
      2. Log out and log back in
      3. Open the user's details view from People page
      4. Check the External ID
        OR
      5. Delete the External ID from user's details view from People page
      6. Log out and log back in
      7. Check the External ID again

      Expected Results

      External ID will be populated in user's details view

      Actual Results

      External ID remains empty

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
      However, this does not prevent users from logging in through Atlassian Guard.
