Issue Summary
After subscribe a user to a OKR/Objective I faced two different behaviors:
- Using the New experience Jira Align don't send email after updates.
- With the exception if you create a discussion
- using the Old experience Jira Align Send email but don't describe what changed
Extra bahevior:
This exact same bug is preventing Objectives email workflow to send email as expected.
As in the case where the Objective is not subscribed, but the user uses new experience and have a Objective workflow configured the same behavior above happens.
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a OKR/Objective and use the new experience
- Subscribe to it
- Make Title, description or status update
- Note that Jira Align will not send out email and the subscribed user will not be notified
- Now change to the Old experience
- Make Title, description or status update
- Note that Jira Align will send out the email but the content of what was changed is missing
Expected Results
As Set up alerts and notifications I would expect any change on the OKR trigger a notification to the subscribed users
Actual Results

Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
