Description
User Problem
Users currently face challenges with the toggle feature between new and old user interfaces (UIs) for managing Objectives in our software. While the flexibility to switch between these experiences is appreciated, the process feels cumbersome and is not user-specific. This global setting limits the ability of users to work efficiently within the interface that best suits their immediate needs for each specific Objective, potentially impacting productivity and user satisfaction.
Suggested Solutions
To enhance usability and user satisfaction, it is suggested that the toggle feature be modified to allow users to set their preferred UI (new or old) at the level of individual Objectives instead of a global setting. This can be implemented by adding a UI preference selector within the Objective creation or editing screen, allowing users to choose their desired interface per Objective without affecting the overall system setting. This approach will provide greater customization, better user experience, and potentially increase the adoption rate of new UI features as users can transition at their own pace.
Current Workarounds
Currently, users can only switch between the new and old UIs on a global level, affecting all Objectives simultaneously. This all-or-nothing approach does not support user-specific needs or preferences for individual Objectives. No direct workaround is available that allows setting UI preferences at the individual Objective level.
